Over the past 12 years I have been a personal trainer. I graduated from NSU with a BS in Health & Exercise Science. I began my journey with coaching certifications from ACSM & NSCA. My interest in CrossFit began in 2006. I currently hold CrossFit level 1, CF Barbell, CF Kettlebell, CF Olympic Lifting, CF Mobility, CF Strongman, CF Kids, and CF Advanced Weightlifting Trainer Certifications. I have learned from the best and use my knowledge to train like the best. Aside from being a CrossFit Trainer and owner of the first Crossfit facility in Natchitoches, I am also a firefighter /driver for the Natchitoches Fire Department.
I've been a professional firefighter for the Natchitoches Fire Deptment for 7 years. I have been
CrossFitting for 4 years. In 2012 I obtained my Level One Certification and became a Trainer at CrossFit Natchitoches. I also hold a CrossFit Strongman and CrossFit Mobility Certifications. In the time that I have been at "The Barn" I have lost over 80lbs and have substantially increased my strength, fitness and overall health. I decided to get trained to teach CrossFit so I cloud help others do the same.
Alex Cook is a senior at Northwestern State University working on his B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing and management. Alex started CrossFit in 2013, at the Barn, and found a passion for bettering himself and others. In 2015 he received his CrossFit Level 1 certification. Alex believes in CrossFit methodologies and allows athletes to achieve an overall balance in their fitness by using a wide variety of functional movements. Alex has been a great addition to our team.
